Consumer Electronics: Production-Ready 3D Printed Hardware for Media Technology

SNL Creative partnered closely with the Yes Yes Media development team to design and develop the custom phone case housing system for WOMI, a mobile production studio built for the future of unscripted content creation.

WOMI is designed to place a reality TV crew in your pocket. The device allows production teams to capture multiple streams of content at once, including the user-facing camera, rear-facing camera, and on-screen activity, then send that content to the cloud for remote editing. While the technology inside the device is highly advanced, the physical product also needed to feel durable, professional, and ready for real-world production environments.

SNL Creative supported the development of the WOMI case using our EOS SLS 3D printing platform, allowing the team to quickly move from design iterations into functional production units. The parts were manufactured in durable nylon and finished using our vapor smoothing and deep dye coloring processes. This gave the product a cleaner molded-like surface finish, improved durability, and allowed for custom colorways across the test units.

Production units are now being tested worldwide by multiple production companies, helping validate the hardware in real filming environments.

This project is a strong example of how SNL Creative supports consumer electronics and media technology companies with more than just prototypes. We help design, manufacture, finish, and scale functional hardware for emerging products where durability, appearance, and speed to market all matter.

For companies developing custom electronics housings, wearable devices, mobile accessories, or production-ready hardware, SNL Creative provides a full design-to-manufacturing path using industrial 3D printing, finishing, and short-run production capabilities.
