Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a type of 3D printing technology that uses a laser to fuse small particles of plastic powder into a solid object. The process begins with a bed of plastic powder that is spread evenly across a build platform. The laser then selectively heats and melts specific areas of the powder, fusing the particles together to form a solid layer. The platform is then lowered by a small increment and another layer of powder is spread on top. The process is repeated until the final object is built up, layer by layer. The unused powder acts as a support material, holding the shape of the object during the printing process and can be easily removed after printing.
